Housing specialist to tackle fuel poverty

Housing and regeneration specialist Keepmoat is holding three thought leadership sessions as part of its Ideas Exchange programme at the CIH Housing Conference in Manchester from Tuesday 25 June to Thursday 27 June.

Each session will tackle a different problem with extra care being the topic of debate on Tuesday 25 June, recycling medium and high-rise buildings on the agenda on Wednesday 26 June, and tackling fuel poverty the subject on Thursday 27 June.

At each session Keepmoat has formed a panel of experts to put forward possible solutions to each problem.

Keepmoat sustainability director Nigel Banks said: “As a company we are not simply looking to build homes for habitation in the present day, we want to build communities that will thrive now and in the future.

“We cannot do this without tackling some of the biggest problems which will affect Britain in the coming years.

“Although our experts have worked on some potential solutions to these problems, we want to open up the debate to as many people as possible at the conference so we can capture people’s ideas to refine our thinking for the future.”
