Harrow Council has issued a contract notice for maintenance services for its housing and corporate property portfolio in a framework deal worth up to £25 million.
The authority said it was looking for maintenance, cyclical servicing and planned improvement to approximately 4,808 dwellings and 1,100 leasehold flats. The corporate stock includes schools, offices, libraries and other public buildings.
The estimated value over four years will be between £15m and £25m, the contract notice says.
The councils also says its contrators will be required to help achieve its social and environmental policy objectives relating to recruitment, training and supply chain initiatives, and sustainable working. Accordingly the contract performance conditions may relate in particular to social or environmental criteria.
The council expects to invite between five and 12 contractors to tender or to participate.
