Hanwha operations begin at two solar plants

Hanwha Q Cells, together with partner Golden Square Energy, have started operations at two solar plants with total capacity of 45.2MW, reNews has reported.

The 20.4MW Fenland Farm and 24.8MW Green End PV parks are located near Cambridge and were connected to the grid in the first quarter of 2015, on time to operate under the 1.4 Renewables Obligation Certificate scheme.

GSE, a joint venture between AG Renewables and Ingenious Clean Energy, led the development of both projects, while Hanwha was responsible for the engineering, procurement and construction.

Some 172,500 Hanwha QPRO-G3 modules were installed at both sites. The company has now taken full ownership of both parks, including the operations and maintenance services.
