Which? has awarded Good Energy joint first place in its annual survey of energy company customers.
Good Energy has held the top slot for three years running and have been first for four years out of the last five.
The company shares the 2014 top spot with Ecotricity, which is also among the smaller, independent companies operating in the market.
Good Energy founder and CEO Juliet davenport commented: “I congratulate Ecotricity on its achievement. Between us, we have thrown down the gauntlet to others in our sector: we’ve proved it can be done.
“It is possible to offer a competitive tariff, to provide green energy and ensure a good experience for customers.”
The recent focus on energy bills and rising prices has led to people switching their energy supplier. Good Energy claims it is because of this that small companies have benefited.
Good Energy says it ensures all its electricity is 100 per cent matched with electricity sourced from renewable energy.
The business has more than 5,000 domestic and business customers in the South-west.
The Which? survey covered customers’ views on customer service, value for money, accuracy and clarity of bills, complaints and energy saving – and Good Energy scored a five-star rating in each category.
