Green Deal and ECO issues to be discussed at Green Deal Summit

The Green Deal and Energy Company Obligation (ECO) aspects of the Government’s plan for an energy efficient future will be explained in full later this year during the Green Deal Summit being held at the Birmingham NEC as part of Retro Expo.

Carillion Energy Services, Willmott Dixon, British Gas, EDF and E.ON will be providing their input on what this will mean for the installer sector and the consumer.

“To meet the UK’s carbon targets, and to transform the way we all use energy in our homes and businesses, it will be important to make a step change in the way we retrofit existing buildings through the Green Deal.,” said British Gas Managing Director John Kimber.

Willmott Dixon Energy Services Technical Director David Adams added: “Whilst Green Deal and ECO are huge opportunities for the energy efficiency market, there’s also a high level of misunderstanding – Retro Expo will help you to find your niche and get the facts straight.”
