Gas Safe gets ISO accreditation

Gas Safe Europe Ltd has been recognised internationally with the granting of an ISO 9001 accreditation.

In a statement the company: “ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by 1,064,000 organizations in 178 countries worldwide, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general.”

Gas Safe Europe’s Managing Director and inventor John Stones said:  “Just pressing the test button on a CO alarm and getting a signal doesn’t mean you’re protected, it just means the battery’s working.”

“The only thing that will give you the required level of protection is a unit that also has a fully functioning sensor.”

“The battery powers the unit’s audible warning system, but the system’s ‘nose’, the element that detects the danger, is the sensor.”

“Not only is it madness not to test properly, it’s life threatening.””
