Gas App now free of charge to engineers

Backing of Wolseley allows waiving of entry fee for engineers’ safety app

The H&V News Award-winning Gas App safety app is now available free of charge to all registered Gas Safe Engineers. The previous £25 subscription charge has been waived thanks to the backing of merchant giant Wolseley.

Gas App UK currently has over 40,000 members and claims a number of features to help heating installers both to improve the quality of their work and to save time and money.

Richard Harvey, commercial director for plumbing and heating at Wolseley, said: We are delighted to announce that we have become the headline sponsors for Gas App. It is a really great tool for engineers looking to improve the quality of their work, quickly resolve issues and connect with the wider installer community.”

The app’s features include a library of operating manuals; digital documents such as Gas Inspection forms, landlord gas safety records and job sheets and a community for installers to share best practice and troubleshoot problems on the job. The app also contains peer-to-peer video reviews providing honest and reliable assessments from fellow engineers on new tools and products.

Ant Provan, Ddrector at Gas App, said: “Working in partnership with the biggest and best in the industry, we can dream big, bringing the very best content and features to our community.”

Wolseley is also the headline sponsor of the H&V News Awards, which reach the face-to-face judging round next month.
