Free training for Luton’s unemployed

Logic4training has teamed up with Luton Adult Learning to deliver free Access to Building Services Engineering training for Luton’s unemployed.

The course is available to over 19s who are currently out of work and provides a stepping-stone into trades encompassed by the BSE sector. Candidates will leave with their basic CSCS card as well as being taught general employability skills.

As part of the programme, trainees will be given the opportunity to meet local employers, who may provide work experience or even apprenticeship placements and employment, at the end of the training. Logic4training is looking for businesses in the local area to support the scheme.

Taking place over six weeks, City & Guilds 2000-01, Level 1 Access to Building Services Engineering, delivers the basics in refrigeration and air conditioning, plumbing, electrical installation, heating and ventilating, as well as covering health and safety and environmental awareness.
