A severe fire has destroyed all stock and has damaged offices and buildings at the Coolectric warehouses and offices in Newport Pagnell on 15 January.
Coolectric has announced that all staff are “safe and well”. The company operated the 45,000 sq ft warehousing facility.
Coolectric managing director Mark Bristow commented: “I am pleased that all of the staff in the building and neighbouring premises were able to evacuate to safety and nobody has been hurt or injured.
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the emergency services and local authorities for their swift response to the incident.”
Plans are now in motion to replenish stock as soon as possible. Mr Bristow announced that contingency plans are in hand and new premises have already been sourced to store and distribute new stock as it arrives.
Field-based employees will continue to operate as normally as possible.
Offices will re-open on Monday 20 January with telephone and operational systems being reinstated in temporary accommodation.
