Ecobuild treat for 1,000th trainee

A Plumb Center customer was given a bottle of champagne by Restoration Man George Clarke, at this year’s Ecobuild.

Stephen White, from Ken White Developments, was the 1,000th person to attend a Plumb Center training course.

Mr White was presented with a magnum of bubbly, 1000 eXtra points and a signed book at the opening of Plumb Center’s Practical Installer Arena.

Government schemes like the Green Deal and Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will provide new opportunities for installers to move their businesses into new, sustainable territory, and training is important.

Plumb Center’s partnership with Sevenoaks Energy Academy allows them to offer customers a range of courses on important industry technologies and initiatives, including solar thermal, biomass and the Green Deal.

Each course gives installers the knowledge and qualifications to expand their business and stay ahead of the game.

Stephen attended the two-day BPEC Heat Pump Installer course which combines practical and theoretical tuition on the successful installation and commissioning of ground and air source heat pumps
