Contractors wanted by Solihull community housing

Construction companies in and around the Borough of Solihull are being offered the chance to meet Solihull Community Housing at a Constructionline event on Tuesday 5 March 2013 at Endeavour House, Kingshurst.

The event will give small and medium-sized construction companies the opportunity to discuss working with SCH on their upcoming projects. Contracts being tendered for include:

  • External auditing of gas servicing and maintenance
  • Out of hours call handling
  • Protection and security of void properties
  • Consultant structural engineers
  • Supply and installation of metal modular access ramps
  • Servicing and repair of lightning conductors
  • Fencing
  • Painting and decoration

The event will run from 8.30am to 3pm and will include an introduction to ‘Intend’, SCH’s new electronic tendering system.

Constructionline business development manager Sharon Wateridge said: “During these financially difficult times, it can be hard for suppliers to get opportunities to work with buyers, especially within their local community.

“For this reason, it is great to see Solihull Community Housing sourcing local subcontractors to help deliver their projects.

“Hosting events like this is one of the many added-value benefits we provide for our suppliers – we want to help them find and secure work and also make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies.”
