Rotary UK has expanded into the Midlands after completing the buyout of Birmingham-based competitor CA Sothers for an undisclosed sum.
The Chester-based building services contractor, part of the £1bn-turnover Australian construction business Hastie Group, already has a presence in Yorkshire, the North East, London, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Family-run business CA Sothers was set up in 1919 and has clients primarily based in the leisure, retail, commercial healthcare and education sectors.
Managing director Robert Hinton will be retained as part of the takeover alongside other members of its management team.
Rotary business development director Rob Kirkham said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to work with a business that has the experience of more than 90 years in the industry, and one that will enable us to grow into new regions.
“Sothers will bring valuable local and technical knowledge as we continue to expand our business across the UK, and work towards our vision to be the provider of choice for building services to the most advanced industry standards.”
