Midlands-based mechanical and engineering firm, Skerritt, has opened an office in Birmingham and is recruiting managerial, engineering and administrative staff for the West Midlands base.
Skerritt has signed a six-year-lease for the office, which is in the Fort Dunlop building. The company also has offices in Nottingham and Cambridge.
Managing director, Stuart Hill (pictured) said: “This is the next natural step for us. Skerritt is typical of family-founded British companies. We believe in providing a service that you can rely on. We put a lot of time and effort into training our engineers to achieve that.”
The Birmingham office will coordinate Skerritt projects in the higher education, commercial and leisure sectors.
Skerritt employs nearly 300 people and predicts turnover will hit an all-time high this year.
