Brighton Energy Coop launch 4th community owned solar PV project

Brighton Energy Coop are currently finalising the details for the launch of its fourth community-owned solar PV project next month.

The company expects to double its current size and install up to 1MWp of new solar in the Brighton area over the next six months.

Over the last 3 years Brighton Energy Coop has raised £680,000 for new PV in the Brighton area.

From August the company will also be paying a 5% dividend to all its current members (subject to its accounts being approved at the business’s AGM).

This is in addition to the 30% EIS tax break that members have already qualified for.
