The charity, which has a special focus on asbestosis this year, organised a fun casino to raise funds on the night, which also provided a lively addition to the evening’s entertainment.
Donations on the night exceeded £6,000 and the charity has received many more enquiries concerning future support from those attending the ceremony.
The British Lung Foundation’s Yvette Leavy told H&V News: “I’ve had a lot of enquiries today from companies who attended the dinner all looking to find out how they can support the programme.
“Asbestos-related disease is a major issue for them and it was really great to have the opportunity to showcase our work on Thursday.”
