Big Energy Saving Week kicks off

Big Energy Saving Week has begun, with the aim of helping householders take practical steps to cut their energy bills.

The campaign, which was devised by the Department of Energy & Climate Change, the Energy Saving Trust and Citizens Advice, takes place from 26 to 30 October.

It will highlight ways for homeowners to save money on their heating bills, with tips including the best ways to insulate a house, the most efficient way to use a heating system and little tricks to reduce heat loss – such as drawing curtains when it gets dark.

Ideal head of marketing Carrie Young said Ideal Boilers will be supporting the campaign to help installers pass on savings to their customers.
