B&ES North West recognises young talent

Presentation of the 2015 North West Training Awards took place during the annual ball organised by the North West Region of the Building & Engineering Services Association (B&ES) at the Imperial Hotel in Blackpool.

Presentations were made to 11 employees of eight companies including national contractor NG Bailey, which won the employer’s award for its commitment to training.

The North West Training Awards represent a joint initiative between B&ES and its training provider subsidiary Building Engineering Services Training (BEST).

In presenting the awards, B&ES immediate past president Bruce Bisset took the opportunity to remind his audience that the young people being honoured were key to the process of reform that would shape and transform the sector in the years ahead.

“On their shoulders will fall the front-line responsibility for ensuring not only that the construction industry of the 21st century remains fit for purpose and world class, but that the collective mind of the sector is ever open to new thinking, new ideas, new concepts and new, better ways of doing what it already does well,” said Mr Bisset.
