A deal has been signed between the Belfry Group and Carillion for the exclusive marketing and installation of the EcoPod heating system.
A previous winner of the H&V News Awards, the EcoPod was created by Belfry managing director Keith Rimmer.
Designed to alleviate fuel poverty, the system uses a combination of renewable technologies to reduce energy costs and emissions and is suitable for installation within a wide range of buildings.
The agreement with Carillion allows the company to market and install EcoPod on a worldwide basis.
Mr Rimmer stated: “This is a major deal for Belfry Group and it has the potential to open up some amazing opportunities.
“Carillion Energy Services shared our vision for the future of EcoPodand we are excited at the prospect of driving it to the forefront of the renewable energy market.”
Carillion Energy Services director Phil Shepley says: “The EcoPod system has already had tremendous success. Combining with Carillion means that we can now bring EcoPod to a wider customer base and we will have the delivery capability to expand the use of EcoPod across the public and private sectors and in domestic and commercial applications.”
