APHC welcome EU consultation on removing red tape

The European Commission is calling upon small and medium-sized businesses to help identify the top 10 EU legislative acts considered to be the most burdensome from them in a new consultation launched earlier this week.

The consultation will run until the 21 December and once complete the commission will analyse the results and consider how the situation for SMEs can be improved.

Some example areas for consideration include, Employment & Social Affairs, Energy, Environment and Taxation.

APHC commercial manager Esther Harries said: “It is good news that the European Commission have recognised the burden often placed on SMEs and are acting to correct this situation.

“I would urge any interested members to have their say via the link below before the closing date.”

Contribute your views via the online survey and answer the question ‘Which are the top 10 EU most burdensome legislative acts for SMEs’.
