Anglian Water is offering up £40 million of work for mechanical and electrical planned and emergency services.
It comes as the water firm launches the tender process for its AMP6 investment programme, worth up to an estimated £9 billion.
The water firm is anticipating 30 contractors over the two-year M&E framework, covering industrial mechanical and electrical repairs and installation services.
A central requirement ‘is the ability to respond to emergency calls on a 24/7/365 basis within four hours on site to at least part of the Anglian Water regio’, it says.
The company will reserve the option to extend for up to a further five years based on performance and competitiveness.
The Anglian Water region covers Essex over to Milton Keynes and up to the river Humber.
Time limit for receipt of tenders or requests to participate is 30 January 2013.
