Adrian Hurley appointed FC Hurley managing director

Contractor group will continue to be led by family of founder Frank P Hurley as it looks at potential UK expansion

Building services contractor FC Hurley has appointed a new managing director as it considers the further expansion of its operations in the UK.

The company has said that Adrian Hurley will be replacing Phillip Hurley in the position, bringing an end to his 17 years of overseeing the organisation.

Adrian Hurley, a grandson of the company’s founder, has served as a director with the organisation for 27 years. He has also overseen FC Hurley’s Bristol office since it was opened in 2010.

Building on the work of his family in building up the business, the new managing director highlighted his aims for further expansion of the FC Hurley brand.

“The company is in a strong position and we are looking to further expand our customer base in the South West of England through the opening of a new office in Exeter, and also in the South East of England by joining the Supply Chains of the Willmott Dixon offices in Cobham and Farnborough,” he said. “I am fortunate to have a very capable and dedicated staff and workforce which will provide a wonderful foundation to develop and grow the company and meet the needs of our clients”.

In replacing Phillip Hurley as managing director, the company will remain led by descendants of Frank P Hurley, who was succeeded by his sons Malcolm and Leonard Hurley.

“I am extremely proud of the reputation of the company and will consider it one of my primary tasks to maintain this reputation,” said Adrian Hurley.

The company announced that Robert Pengelly would now serve as branch manager of the company’s Bristol office.
