BT has awarded a substantial contract to Stockport-based Adam International to supply and install wireless building energy management systems into its telephone exchanges.
Designed to reduce overall energy consumption, the project covers premises ranging from 400m² to 17,000m².
Adams will install the SMART wireless and web-enabled system, designed to provide a 40 percent reduction in installation costs, minimal disruption during fitting, and an accelerated return on investment.
The systems will be used by BT for the control and monitoring of essential HVAC services and metering equipment. It will also reduce CO² emissions at each site.
Stephen Dillon, managing director of Adam International, said: “We have worked closely with BT for many years, and this latest deal really marks the pinnacle in our relationship.
“Not only does it further cement our place as a major force in the BEMS market, it is the best possible endorsement for our wireless SMART product in terms of cost, installation timescales, performance, software security and reliability.”
