Acquisitions and partnerships for home heating control supplier

Supplier of HVACR control technology AlertMe has announced a number of new developments, including the purchase of Wattbox.

The acquisition is intended to allow the company to extend its product offering to include heating, hot water and intelligent automation.

Further to this, the company has also announced strategic partnerships with Invensys Controls and Deutsche Telekom.

The latter follows the development of an open standards (OSGI) controls platform by AlertMe.

The company previously announced a partnership deal with British Gas, worth over £20 million.

Its intention is to provide a comprehensive range of applications and services that can be accessed by home owners using a variety of devices to manage their heating requirements.

AlertMe’s partnership with Invensys represents its first third party device partnership

The arrangement has resulted in the development of the SmartHeating app

This is designed to allowed home owners to control thermostats from computer or smart phone

The purchase of Wattbox will see the company’s technology incorporated into the AlertMe cloud-based controls platform
