£5k grant for gas safety work

A housing provider has been given a £5,000 grant for gas safety work in the homes of elderly and vulnerable tenants in Durham, The Northern Echo has reported.

Four Housing’s Care and Repair Service has received the Gas Safe Charity funding through the Foundations Independent Living Trust (FILT).

It will be used by Four Housing’s Care & Repair Service to pay for the replacement, repair and servicing of dangerous, faulty or inefficient gas appliances and installations that put the safety of older and vulnerable people at risk.
