2016 training initiative launched

BPEC has begun its search for next year’s recipients of grants for those working on projects that use plumbing knowledge and skills to improve the lives of others.

The support packages, worth up to £15,000, are available through the BPEC Life Award.

Recognition is also given for transferring skills and knowledge to others in the process, and applicants have until 30 June 2016 to apply.

Applications are also invited for the Support Fund, which aims to raise plumbing skills levels of disadvantaged groups or individuals, which are also available to charitable projects that benefit the local community.

The third initiative is the Sport Award, designed to encourage sporting excellence across the plumbing industry for both teams and individuals while passing also on their skills.

Grants of up to £2,500 are provided by both the Support Fund and Sport Award for those working in the heating and plumbing sector.

BPEC awarded more than £40,000 to deserving projects for 2015.

Chairman Frank Glover described the submissions received over the past three years as “fantastic, with real life-changing effects”.
