18 MW solar PV plant to be built in Wales

BayWa’s renewable energy division has commissioned an 18 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Wales.

The Whitland PV plant comprises 69,000 multicrystalline silicon PV modules on fixed-tilt mounting systems covering 28 hectares in the village of Whitland.

This is BayWa’s fourth utility-scale PV plant in the UK.

BayWa estimates that the PV plant will generate roughly 17 GWh of electricity annually.

The company states that it has “significant projects” in its UK PV pipeline.
