Kier has won a £140m contract to deliver maintenance and repair works on 33,000 homes for Genesis Housing Association.
Under the contract, Kier will deliver planned maintenance works across a portfolio of 33,000 properties in London and the East of England.
It will also provide responsive repairs for over 10,000 homes in East London and the East of England, with the remaining properties serviced by Genesis’ in-house team.
The contract is for four years and has the potential to be extended for a further six years.
Kier finance director Haydn Mursell, said: “This opportunity to work with one of the UK’s leading housing associations is further endorsement of Kier’s well-established status as a provider of social housing maintenance services across the UK.
“We are committed to building long-term partnerships with all of our clients and look forward to working closely with Genesis to assist it to drive efficiencies across its core business.”
Genesis Housing Association chief executive, Neil Hadden, added: “Customer focus was key throughout the tendering process, and we’re confident that in Kier we’ve found a provider that understands the requirements of our customers and the values that run through everything we do.”
Kier and Genesis are now mobilising the contract and will be phasing in the start of external painting work from mid-July, with responsive repairs starting in mid-October.
