Willmott Dixon Partnerships staff raise money in support of ‘Out of The Blue Day’ for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Staff participated in Dress Down Days, raffles and competitions with some resourceful individuals finding a new way of ‘sporting’ standard issue shoe protectors.
Customer & Community Officer for Willmott Dixon Partnerships, Michael Pearson, said: “As a company, we are heavily involved in supporting local initiatives and charity events.
‘Out of the Blue Day’ seemed such a good idea to raise money and an opportunity to have a bit of fun at the same time.
The most important thing though is that we helped raise the profile of such an important subject, particularly as it’s a subject that’s still quite taboo and a lot of men are too embarrassed to discuss it.”
The company also displayed official charity posters throughout offices and workplaces and distributed information sheets about the disease amongst staff.
