Visitors to next week’s CIPHE exhibition in Chelsea will have the opportunity to discuss relevant issues with a Gas Safe Register inspector at the event.
The inspector will be on the CIPHE stand (number 100) on both days of the show, which takes place on 8 and 9 December.
CIPHE states that the exercise is part of its ongoing comment to work closely with the Gas Safe Register to safeguard public health and raise professional standards.
Blane Judd, CIPHE chief executive, said: “As the Institute responsible for plumbing and heating engineering, CIPHE has engaged with The Gas Safe Register since it was set up.
“Our two organisations are working together closely to protect the public and drive up the numbers of registered plumbing and heating professionals.
“Gas Safe registration only covers the fuel handling element – to be able to carry out the ‘wet’ side of installations engineers must also hold the relevant plumbing qualifications which is why we urge the public to ask for proof of CIPHE registration in addition to Gas Safe .”
