New centre reacts to training needs

Rising regulation and demand for high quality training has led refrigeration and air conditioning supplier HRP Group to open a new technical centre in Slough.

The centre has been established in partnership with leading manufacturer Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and is located at HRP Group’s new Slough Service Centre.

Courses will initially focus on air conditioning and refrigeration, but will eventually be extended to other building services’ industry trades.

Mandy Pilgrim, Managing Director of HRP Group, said: “This is an important day in the history of the HRP Group. Few would argue that with increasing legislation, the need to provide high quality training in the air conditioning and refrigeration industry has never been greater.

“Having the right skill levels to meet the challenges of the future is the key issue facing our industry. With the support of MHI, the new Technical  Centre will allow us to promote excellence in air conditioning, refrigeration and across the building services industry.”

HRP Group has long established links with MHI as HRP's 3D Air Sales - based at the Slough complex - is the UK Distributor for MHI air conditioning systems.

David Lettis, MHI Europe Commercial Manager, said: “MHI takes great pleasure in sponsoring the new HRP Group Technical Centre. We believe the centre will have a significant impact on raising skill levels.

'At MHI we recognise the importance of having outstanding products, top technical support and great training to provide the platform for a properly qualified, skilled and competent workforce in our industry.“
