Management buy-out for Denman

Denman Group, the £50 million turnover m&e and facilities provider, has been bought by its commercial director David Weaver. David takes over the role of group managing director from Mark Denton, who leaves the company although will continue to assist with business development on a consultancy basis to David and his management team. The deal has been backed by Grant Thornton Corporate Finance (Gatwick), ASB Law (Crawley), GE Finance (Reigate) and Wilkins Kennedy (Horsham). Since joining the Denman Group in April 2006 as group commercial director David has worked closely with Mark and other members of the Board looking at strategic and operational issues in addition to managing the support services for Denman Contracting and Denman Facilities Management. In this last financial year The Denman Group turned over £50million with approximately 300 employees working out of 3 locations, Reigate, Sunderland and the North West.   “This is an exciting time for the Denman Group and collectively we look forward to continuing to grow the business and developing our service framework moving into 2008,” Mr Weaver said.   The group provides installation and facilities maintenance solutions to multi site operations in the retail food and convenience sectors through its two main divisions, Facilities Maintenance and Contracting.
