Ideal Boilers has launched a range of air source heat pumps as part of its new Ideal Renewable Solutions package.
The new air source heat pump range is being marketed under the brand name Ideal AirTherm and will be offered alongside Ideal Solar, the company's existing solar thermal system.
The ground source heat pump range will be launched later in the year as part of Ideal's ongoing plans to expand its renewable range.
Marketing director Dave Simpson said: 'Ideal has been at the forefront of the drive for energy efficient heating, leading the development of high efficiency condensing boilers in the 1980s, and Ideal Renewable Solutions continues this pioneering approach.
'These latest technologies provide a renewable energy solution for any domestic application, meeting the increasing demand for low carbon home heating and giving installers a strong solution to respond to homeowner's needs.'
Ideal AirTherm will deliver hot water at 65 deg C without the need for supplementary electrical heating back up. It is compatible with under floor heating and radiator systems with a space heating range of 35 deg C to 55 deg C. The product is available at 4.5kW, 9kW and 12kW.
Ideal says the GroundTherm system can deliver a Coefficient of Performance of up to 4 and deliver hot water temperatures of 65 deg C. It says the system when providing 100 per cent of space heating and 50 per cent of hot water can deliver savings of £1,000 per year on energy bills and save seven tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions when compared to an electric heating system.
