GSH Group takes on 13 apprentices

Building Engineering Services Training (Best) has established a training partnership with GSH Group resulting in 13 apprentices starting a Service and Maintenance programme based at Stoke on Trent College.

The new group adds to four apprentices who started earlier in the year at North Glasgow College.

Chris McLain, co-chief executive officer, GSH Group said: “We have always recognised the value of apprenticeships and the impact they have on our business not only in terms of staff recruitment, particularly in a notable area of skills shortage but also for staff development and retention. Although the programme requires a large investment from the business, the benefits do far outweigh the investment.

“We know that by offering training and development programmes such as these, we can develop the highest calibre of GSH staff, ensuring that our clients receive the best quality service – something that we are even more mindful of in times of economic uncertainty.”
