Fujitsu merges UK sales with Eurofred

Fujitsu General (UK) has merged with rival Eurofred UK to form a single sales subsidiary in the UK for Fujitsu air conditioning equipment. The Eurofred Group is the business partner of Fujitsu General in Spain. The new joint sales company will be called FG Eurofred and will start operating on October 1 this year. The company is worth £7 million and is financed by both companies, owning 50 per cent each. Its principal address is in Hertfordshire where Fujitsu General (UK) is located now. A press statement said: “The new joint company will reinforce our business in the UK and Ireland combining know-how in direct sales to installers and service facilities from Eurofred and expertise in distribution from Fujitsu General (UK). “This fusion will help the new company to utilise financial resources at maximum efficiency. The UK market has high potential, but it is expected that the competition in the market will become harder, with strong organisation required to win market share.”
