WINNER: Industrial/Commercial heating product of the Year 2010

The HDC Condensing Water Heater Range from Rinnai UK was recognised for being the first internally and externally mounted, non-storage, continuous flow condensing water heating system available in the UK.

The HDC range boasts a net efficiency of 106 per cent. The Condensing HDC 1200i water heater will provide 1,200 litres of hot water per hour raised 33 deg C; the HDC1500i is capable of providing 1,500 litres per hour at 33 deg C.

Both these fully condensing units have a high turn down rate of over 20:1, and are capable of integration with renewable energy sources such as solar systems.

The external units being fully weatherproof enables the end-user to have them outside of the property, thus freeing up internal space. The temperature control can be achieved by the use of an external controller or by preset dipswitches inside the units, thus preventing unwanted alteration in temperatures.

The judging panel said: “In a tough and competitive field, this product holds its own.”

“This category draws attention to the importance of low carbon high efficiency technology in non-domestic heating and we are really pleased this year’s winner has clear evidence of this”
