Barden Energy is generating impressive growth, fuelled by an anticipated four-fold increase in its workforce at multiple site locations by 2018.
By this time trajectory growth is also expected, with it able to deliver 200 commercial and 500 domestic systems. Some 94 installs for commercial contacts are anticipated during 2015, up from 63 in 2014.
The company has made a number of changes to improve its safety standards – for example, by investing in equipment, such as “mufflers” and “rubber tracks” during excavation, that will make its presence on sites less obvious by causing minimal disruption.
Its installation team now completes a full risk assessment and method statement for all of the firm’s work. Barden Energy also only has a minimum amount of “hot works” on site, achieved with off-site welding and fabrication. Regular training courses are provided for employees using lifting equipment and engine cranes. Furthermore, CDM regulations have been implemented on the majority of installations. When installation teams are on site, they are encouraged to take a break to reinforce health and safety.
