HWEnergy has been commissioned to deliver a programme of biomass heating installations across the North for NHS Highland. By supporting high-value jobs, it has helped sustain many rural businesses burdened with high heating costs, and it is now helping NHS Highland and others reduce their heating bills.
HWEnergy’s all-in-one heat cabin product comes as a pre-packaged unit that can be installed with minimum disruption. This was particularly important in Arran, where the only access route for delivering and installing the heat cabin was also the access route for the ambulance.
The product forms part of HWEnergy’s full-service offering that covers all aspects from feasibility study to installation, fuel supply and maintenance. This provides the customer with a one-stop-shop, making the whole process easier and cheaper than using multiple suppliers.
The company’s heat supply contract with the NHS works in the same way as a normal heating and hot water bill, whereby it bills the organisation for what it uses. The money saved will be reinvested in patient care and further energy-efficiency measures, saving more money in the long run.
