Derry Building Services has continued to perform successfully throughout what has been a challenging period for the industry.
The firm has increased its profitability and has also maintained staffing levels. Its main contract in 2013 was the new Centre Parcs project at Woburn Forest with an M&E contract value of £18m.
Last year also saw the continuation of Derry’s partnering arrangements with Willmott Dixon as a Category A subcontractor, Bowmer and Kirkland as preferred subcontractor, Everything Everywhere as a framework contractor and AstraZeneca as the term contractor at its Charnwood site.
Other main contracts in 2013 included the Imagination Data Centre for Imagination Technologies, completed in June with an M&E contract value of £5.1m, and College Hall for Leicester University, completed in September with an M&E contract value of £4m.
In October 2013 Derry Building Services achieved the Environment Management Standard ISO14001.
The company now operates an environmental policy and has made the commitment to reduce the impact its activities have on the environment.
