Daikin Europe has announced its 2007 financial results, revealing strong growth.
Turnover for financial year 2007 (1 April 2006-31 March 2007) was 1.917 million euros, up from 1.515 million euros in 2006.
Sales were strong for all four product groups - air conditioning, applied systems, heating and refrigeration - and across its four major sales areas.
Europe (including Turkey) was up 24 per cent compared to the previous financial year, Russia plus the CIS countries was up 67 per cent, the Middle East grew by 68 per cent and Africa by 30 per cent.
The air conditioning giant put its favourable results down to an exceptionally warm spring which resulted in very strong residential air conditioning sales during the Q107.
Over the entire year, residential units enjoyed growth of 30 per cent over the previous financial year. Sales of commercial air conditioning systems were robust throughout the territory, with overall growth of 25 per cent over the previous year.
In the applied systems market, Daikin put its success down to the continued integration of the product range of McQuay chillers, which resulted in a greatly expanded product portfolio.
In the residential sector, Daikin hailed the Altherma (see picture) as a triumph, with the 10,000 units sold mark surpassed in 2007.
