The Integrated Bradford consortium - consisting of Costain, HSBC, Building Schools for the Future Investments and Amey Ventures – will provide four secondary schools for Bradford Metropolitan District Council as part of the Bradford ‘Building Schools for the Future’ Programme.
The four campuses also comprise four smaller schools and will provide dedicated learning for students with special educational needs.
Design and construction of the schools will be provided by Educo, a joint venture between Costain and Ferrovial Agroman.
Phase 1 of the Bradford BSF Programme provided for three new secondary schools, all of which are now in full operation.
A further three new primary schools, currently in construction, will be handed over in early 2010.
Bradford BSF was one of the pathfinder projects, in which the development of new schools is undertaken by a Local Education Partnership that includes Bradford MDC, Costain, Amey and Building Schools for the Future Investments.
Costain chief executive Andrew Wyllie said: “We are delighted to be continuing our involvement in Building Schools for the Future, through our strong relationship with Bradford and our consortium partners to further improve the education provision in the city.”
