Cornwall Council advertises £4m housing maintenance contract

Cornwall Council is inviting bids for a £4 million contract covering the annual servicing and repair of gas and solid heating appliances in the South-east of the county.

The council’s South East Cornwall Landlord Services department requires a contractor to carry out annual servicing, safety checks and responsive repairs across all of its dwellings over three years.

The annual value of this work is estimated at £1.35 million but this could rise if, as proposed, similar services are required by other council landlord departments and other public sector organisations in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Between five and eight firms will be invited to tender in November for the contract, which has a break clause at 24 months.

Contractors have until 14 September to submit pre-qualification questionnaires.
