£4.5 million project secured by Balfour Kilpatrick

A £4.5 million M&E contract for a new Scottish hospital has been won by Balfour Kilpatrick.

The company will supply and install mechanical and electrical services for the community hospital in Clackmannanshire being built by Robertson Capital Projects.

The facility is part of a new flagship development designed to improve primary care and community services in Forth Valley.

Work being undertaken by Balfour Kilpatrick will include domestic water, LTHW heating, ventilation, gas and oil services, sprinkler systems and drainage.

The electrical works will include lighting, small power, fire alarms, lightning protection, CCTV, security and access control.

The project will use prefabricated modules for ductwork, electrical containment, heating, domestic water and sprinkler pipe work.

Work is expected to be completed in late 2009.
