The final design of a new gas safe label that is set to be included on boilers has been unveiled on the start of a major new awareness campaign.
A launch event for this year’s upcoming Gas Safety Week campaign was held yesterday (11 September) at the Palace of Westminster with organisers highlighting a need to challenge basic assumptions held by the general public about current dangers.
The 8th annual Gas Safety Week, which this year takes place between September 17 – 23, was launched at a special reception in parliament on September 13 with stakeholders committing to step up efforts around improving public awareness and pushing for legislative change.
A cross party group of MPs have committed to push for tighter legislation on carbon monoxide detection during the parliamentary launch of this year’s Gas Safety Week.
The Gas Safety Trust is backing a proof of concept study looking at where the threshold may be for low level exposure to carbon monoxide as part of a broader focus on supporting pioneering research.
