When it is not possible to incorporate UV-C filtration cassettes within the extract plenum of the kitchen canopy, VIANEN can offer their stand-alone Kitchen Extract Filtration Unit.

This range of units is designed to match the extract airflow from the kitchen and can feature a combination of the following components: Pre/Bag Filters, UV-C Module, HEPA Filter, Carbon Filter, Electrostatic Filter and Fan-Motor Unit.

The combination of the various levels of filtration ensures the removal of grease and smoke particles and also reduces the presence of cooking odours in the extract airflow. 

When grease is exposed to UV-C, the resulting chemical reaction destroys the grease particles thereby ensuring the highest levels of hygiene in the ductwork, greatly reducing the risk of fire and simplifying maintenance issues.  Another added benefit offers the option to route extract ductwork to discharge at low level and negate the requirement for extended high level duct runs where non-treated exhaust air would normally be released.

All filtration units are designed to comply with the requirements of HVCA Specification DW/172 for Kitchen Ventilation Systems.
