Service contract awarded for international tennis centre
The £700k contract to provide mechanical services to the new Edgbaston International Tennis Centre has been awarded to Kershaw Mechanical Services, working in partnership with contractor Morgan Sindall.
The state-of-the-art facility includes six indoor courts, changing rooms, physiotherapy and training rooms.
The project includes a standalone complex, complete with plant room, providing heating, gas, and hot and cold water to the internal spine of the building, and a 24-burner ambient radiant heating system with passive vent, providing timed temperature control to each of the six individual tennis courts.
