RAC Student of the Year Awards finalists announced
The RAC Student of the Year Awards 2010 finalists have been announced, with 10 of the UK’s brightest young engineers set to battle it out in the industry’s premier apprentice and trainee event, which is now in its 16th year.
The occasion will also see a top three announced, with the winner being awarded the Student of the Year Award title together with £750.
And with a new venue and date, to coincide with the prestigious RAC Cooling Awards (29th September at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane London) it promises to be a memorable night.
The panel commended the overall high standard of the nominees pointing to the impressive level of experience gained in the field, as well as the diverse backgrounds of the candidates.
Graham Garner, chairman of the judging panel said: “It was refreshing to see entrants from a variety of backgrounds, including several candidates sporting further education qualifications such as degrees. It shows the people aren’t just joining the industry from the traditional post-school route anymore.”
