New partnerships, certification and commitment for Calor

Key partnerships between Calor Gas and the Energy Saving Trust and Mark Group were recently announced at a reception at the company’s Rural Energy Centre in Exeter.

Susan Kinnaird, Calor Gas sales and marketing director, accepted the company’s recently achieved Carbon Trust Standard certificate at the event.

This is awarded to organisations for achievements in carbon reduction and commitment to further reductions in the future.

Calor states that its partnership with Mark Group is intended to enable the company to pass on referrals for home insulation.

A solar photovoltaic and thermal trial is also being run by Calor from its Rural Energy Centre, with installations carried by trained Mark Group personnel.

“Rural households can now turn to Calor for a whole-house approach to energy efficiency, including tailored and impartial advice from experts endorsed by the Energy Saving Trust and insulation and solar solutions delivered by Mark Group, safe in the knowledge that Calor itself is doing all it can to reduce its own carbon footprint,” says Ms Kinnaird.
