Installer Live Awards 2011

This year’s Installer Live Awards saw comedy star Rufus Hound take the stage as heating and plumbing professionals gathered to honour the finest products, projects and performance

On Tuesday 18th October nearly 600 professionals in the heating and plumbing industry gathered at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole Hotel to honour the finest products, projects and performance across the sector. View the photos from the night here.

Competition was extremely high, with entries from nearly every key organisation in plumbing and heating. Big thanks go to our expert panel of judges who had a difficult task. Meet the deserving winners here.

John Smartt, Plumbing Chief Expert from Worldskills, received the Contribution to Plumbing & Heating Award. John was rewarded for his many years of dedicated service to the heating and plumbing industry, most notably his expert input to the Chartered Institute of Plumbing and Heating Engineers.

Host and comedy star Rufus Hound kept the audience amused whilst announcing the winners. Guests enjoyed a game of ‘Heads & Tails’ throughout dinner as well as a silent auction, with proceeds from both going to the Sparks charity (improving the health of children during pregnancy and through the early years of life). Thanks to all who participated and helped to support such a worthy cause.

The amount raised from Heads and Tails was £3564.05, and the silent auction raised £7,413.37 - an overall total of £10,909.27!
