HCA Affordable Rent progress

The Homes and Communities Agency has signed Affordable Rent contracts with six more housing providers worth around £67 million.

Accord signed the largest of the deals, committing to 1,290 units in the Midlands and 172 in the South-west with an allocation of £30 million.

Radian has signed a contract for £20.4m for 1,598 units predominantly in the South-west.

Genesis will deliver 285 units in London with an HCA allocation worth £9.6m.

The HCA will provide £6.48m for Wandle Housing Association’s 320 London units.

Manningham Housing Association has signed has committed to 76 units in North-east Yorkshire and Humber for £2.1m

And the Wirral Partnership Homes will build 400 units in the North-west but has not received any allocation.

The HCA’s Affordable Rent programme will see 146 providers share nearly £1.8bn to build 80,000 homes overall.
