T Clarke appoints group finance director
T Clarke has appointed Martin Walton as group finance director and company secretary with immediate effect.
Mr Walton takes up the post after three years at the firm as group financial controller. Kim Thistleton will succeed Mr Walton as group financial controller after joining from accountancy firm Reeves & Neyland.
Mr Walton, a chartered accountant, has worked in senior finance management positions with BDO Stoy Hayward, KPMG and London Transport. He has significant experience of working with listed public limited companies and large private companies across a number of industries and in the construction sector including Skanska and Multiplex.
T Clarke chief executive Mark Lawrence said: “We are delighted to announce that the board has decided to appoint Martin as finance director. He has nearly twenty years of experience of working with major PLCs in the sector and we have been impressed by the impact he has made since joining us. He has an excellent knowledge of the industry and its challenges. Having been with us for three years, Martin understands our business intimately and is well known by our teams in London and the regions.
